Puranas(पुराण)
The Puranas: पुराण are ancient Hindu scripture praising of various deities, primarily the divine Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Siva through divine stories. They are the important Hindu religious texts particularly consisting of tale of the history of the universe from creation to destruction, descriptions of Hindu cosmology, geography and philosophy and family tree of kings, sages, heroes and deities.
The Puranas are commonly classified according to the Trinity or the three aspects of the divine. The Padma Puran classifieds them, according to 3 Qualities, each containing 6 Purans.
 Satvik - Truth and Purity
 Rajasik - Softness and Passion
 Tamasik - Darkness and Ignorance
This is also considered that all three classifications are according to human quality too. The Puranas are so divided that the men with related nature can take benefit of them and gradually take back their lost position and get out of the hard struggle for existence.
Every of purana generally gives fame to a particular deity, occupying a plenty of religious and philosophical concepts. They are usually written in the form of stories correlated by one person to another. The Puranas are available in dialect translation and are spread by Brahmin scholars, who study them and tell their stories usually called Katha.

    1. Your post is from a while ago, so I am not sure if my reply will get to you but you can get Ganesh Puraan from https://www.dwarkadheeshvastu.com/Epic-Ganesh-Puran-Hindi.aspx. There are 4 PDFs around 15 MB each for each of the 4 parts.

Regarding Mudgal Puraan, I have not been able to find a Hindi version in spite of my best efforts. Sanskrit, Marathi and English versions are available but not the Hindi version so I am not even sure if a Hindi version of Mudgal Puraan exists.

    2. Can you point/provide me the version in English or Marathi?
